Bryan Hicks Named Seminar Coordinator

Bryan Hicks will be taking over as the AAHA Seminar Coordinator. Both Marty and Bryan will be working together over the next few months during this transition period. Bryan Hicks is an educator by profession and has been involved with the AAHA as a local official and seminar coordinator, in addition he was an ECAC official both on and off the ice. Bryan recently completed his on-ice officiating career at the Division 1 Level as a referee skating his last game at Yale University on Saturday, December 8th, 2018.

Bryan will now also coordinate educational materials with our Officials Development Program moving forward to ensure that all of our training materials are consistent as we move into the 2019-2020 season.

Marty Maglio has been the AAHA Seminar Coordinator for the past 10 years. Marty took over on January 17th, 2009 from Carl Barling and for the past 10 seasons has provided excellent leadership and dedication to this program.
Over the years he was assisted by Vince Scriboni and most recently by Joe Franchetti. I want to personally thank Marty for all his years of service and all of the little things that he did behind the scenes to make sure all 2000 official's year in and year out got credit for their seminars.

Please welcome Bryan into this new position and wish him the best of luck with this new challenge.

Thank You,

Jim Doyle
